First, I'm terribly sorry about the prolonged error page everyone was seeing. That error page was left over from the domain move I made earlier this year; for some reason, it suddenly "took over" the website so no other page could be acessed. The only way I could make it stop was if I deleted it... but when I did that, it revealed the guts of the new website I'm designing for Joyride, which is not ready to be revealed yet!
So I have to leave the error page up for the time being. =/ But what I thought I'd do was replace the actual error message with some details on my progress. Here we go:
Web Redesign - Coding

Act 1 Script Rewrite [Up 3%]

Promotional Materials + A few secrets!
"Why isn't there more progress? Haven't you been working on this for months?" Actually, no! Although I was supposed to spend my whole summer making new Joyride pages, I actually spent it working on an old Church we were restoring. It has been completed; hundreds of people go to it now, and there was an article about it in the paper :D
It was only this fall that I was really able to work on Joyride again for the first time. First, I had to re-script Joyride and redesign the website, before I could start drawing. The re-scripting took way longer than expected, and the website I had to redo twice! Then, after I finally DID start drawing, I made a mistake and drew everything at the wrong size. I had to start over.
The progress you see reflected in the above bars is really what I've accomplished in a few weeks' time. In fact, it's only taken me a week to get this far on drawing Act 1!
I'm working fairly quickly. Keep checking back! :D
Special thanks to everyone who is anticipating the relaunch along with me!
In case you didn't hear about it yet, I took a "summer break" for Joyride in order to fully update all the old pages. They are being both re-scripted and re-drawn. The story and plot is the same, but it will be told in a more exciting manner, with better pacing. Furthermore, I'm changing the way I create comics, so I will be able to bring pages to you much more frequently. In short, it's a complete makeover for Joyride!
